My Asana, my yoga haven..

Hidden behind the bustling shopping village of Vaucluse North is my secret haven, my Asana Yoga. I first visited My Asana to relax and take some time for myself away from the stress of work and a busy family. Little by little and day by day my love for My Asana has evolved and grown. Exposure to new styles of yoga, with different and wonderful yoga teachers has sparked a joy and inner peace in me that I carry with me everywhere and that draws me back to My Asana whenever I can sneak away…
Ashtanga Yoga with Angel. Angel’s wisdom and insights into the traditions of Ashtanga yoga are inspirational. The yoga is physically challenging and rewarding but even more than that, the wealth of knowledge and reflections that Angel shares with us are magical. Yogis from different cultures and many levels of practice all come together in Angel’s beautiful classes and Angel has a way of making us all feel special and part of the My Asana yoga family.
Angel’s tween yoga class is transformational. My daughter and her friend were reluctant at first to start tween yoga together. With busy schedules and homework they were quick to find reasons not to go. After 2 weeks of inspirational lessons with Angel, and the obvious investment of love and trust that Angel placed in them, the thought of missing a class was no longer a discussion and the girls skipped into class with smiles. The girls emerged from class an hour later with calm minds and a new confidence and posture. A wonderful introduction to yoga and hopefully the start of a lifelong love for yoga for our girls.
Eve’s flow, hot flow and family yoga classes. Eve’s connection with the earth’s natural elements and passion for life is infectious in her yoga classes. Each class is an adventure from the Tibetan rites to meridian tapping, from hot flow with salutes to the sun to new moon smoking ceremonies and yin style classes. Through Eve I have been able to share the joy and benefits of yoga with my daughters (10&12 years) through family yoga. We have bonded and connected with each other and our yoga and look forward to our special empowering time together on Saturday afternoons with Eve. Family yoga brings together the excitement of Eve’s adult classes with fun of dance, Aboriginal culture, and colour. She has a lovely patience and nurturing way of encouraging the girls to try new things.
Gemmas flow and align classes. The elegance and grace of Gemma’s classes seem to spread through the room during her flow and align classes. Beautiful stretches and balances always leave me feeling calm and centred and ready for the day ahead.
Jess’s Thursday night class. Thursday nights with Jess are energetic, challenging and a perfect detox after a busy day. I love to clear my mind during Jess’s and wind down for a restful sleep after this class.
Thank you Asnat
